“The Death of the Master Cannoneer” is an Editorial Interior Illustration air brushed in dyes on Illustration Board for a Science Fiction Publication. It is an early assignment that predates the Pirates of the Caribbean movie series and illustrates a story that actually had a Science Fiction theme. Because the printed image was for a Double Page opening spread, it required room to print copy and title blurb over it. The large planet/circle area was designed for that purpose and was left more or less blank with very little detail.
